Most Dependable Fountains uses compressed air to manufacture the water fountains, shower towers and foot washes it markets to parks, zoos and golf courses. An air-driven plasma cutter cuts the pipe and the links to make its products. It even uses compressed air to paint and package its wares.
“Compressed air is our operation,” said warehouse manager John Baker. As a result, the company needs an air compressor it can depend on. “If we’re down for a day, we have 23 guys that can’t do anything.”
Most Dependable Fountains had an aging compressor that broke down, causing a five-day shutdown at the facility. The cost of even one day of downtime? $70,000 to $120,000 a day.
Not surprisingly, they needed help, and they wanted it fast.
The company worked with Arkansas Industrial Machinery (AIM), an independent distributor of compressed air equipment. Knowing time was of the essence, AIM recommended Kaishan.
Most Dependable Fountains purchased a 60-HP Kaishan KRSD direct-drive rotary screw air compressor and was up and running within two weeks. “He started the installation at 9:30 in the morning. About 1:00 in the afternoon, we were starting the compressor.” Baker said. “It was a smooth operation.”
