Kaishan’s new portable air compressors offer options for compressed air in almost any environment, including harsh oil and gas applications.
Since all air compressors have engines or motors of some sort driving their actions, almost all count as motor-driven air compressors.
The most common types used in industry—reciprocating, centrifugal and rotary screw machines—all are motor-driven air compressors. Even belt-drive compressors like our KRSB belt-drive rotary screw air compressors.
One of the key distinctions in the way they are used, however, is their mobility. How portable are they? After all, air compressors are big, heavy machines installed in compressor or equipment rooms. And almost always stationary.
However, workers can use compressed air in many applications, such as oil and gas rigs, construction, mining, road work, and other industries where its relative safety, efficiency and versatility are crucial.
Our portable air compressors offer safe, efficient and versatile compressed air to the mining industry.
Even maintenance managers in a factory would love to have a temporary replacement when a stationary unit is down for repairs. A unit they could move in place, connect and have up and running quickly. Avoiding the downtime that comes when a main unit is out of service.
Maintenance managers will appreciate the flexibility and versatility of Kaishan’s new lineup of portable rotary screw air compressors in maintaining uptime.
In that regard, Kaishan is taking a giant step forward, adding six new options that make compressed air available in new ways. As temporary units. Or as permanent backups.
The six new compressors include both diesel and electric portables. Plug-ins and battery-operated. Oil-flooded and oil-free. Our new engine-driven air compressors have your temporary compressed air needs covered, no matter what they are.
And all come with Kaishan’s industry-leading reliability, quality, performance and support.
The six options include the following compressors.
Our new portable electric rotary screw model features a standard air compressor on a heavy-duty, rigid skid. You can place it with a forklift or even drag it around. You can also get it on a trailer or move it around with a crane, using its built-in lifting hook.
It will be designed to handle all environments, including rain, snow or sleet. And all temperature extremes from high temperatures to sub-freezing. With appropriately sized cooling and temperature ratings on the liquid-cooled motor, heat tracing and sump heaters for cold temps, it’s a superhero when it comes to extreme environmental conditions.
Best of all, it will have great operational flexibility. You can easily adjust pressure (PSIG) and flow (CFM) to match your needs without sacrificing energy efficiency. As a result, one compressor can meet many different needs. A 100-HP unit, for instance, can run at 75 HP if that’s all you need (or all your electrical service can handle). It won't require a completely different unit. Four different frames are available, from 200 to 1,500 CFM.
The new portable plug-in will operate on traditional 460-volt, three-phase electrical current, which most facilities already have. And it will have a new generation of variable-speed drives, water-cooled and rated for outdoor use.
The portable plug-in will also be available in an oil-free model, providing an exciting new option for applications like food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals and electronics, where the air must be clean.
Our new oil-free, plug-in portable will be attractive for clean environments such as food and beverage processing.
We are also launching a battery-operated variation of the oil-flooded, plug-in portable above. It will be available in capacities similar to those of the plug-in unit.
The battery-operated portable rotary screw air compressor also will be available in an oil-free model. Offering even more flexibility to applications needing ISO 8573-1, Class 0 compressed air.
Portable diesels are an important, flexible alternative for emergency replacements, short-term needs and point-of-use applications.
They’re invaluable in mining, rock drilling, sandblasting and construction. You can move a portable diesel around to power nail guns, impact wrenches, tire inflators, paint sprayers, pressure washers and cutting tools. They are also an obvious choice for outdoor applications.
Our diesel portable air compressors offer a great new compressed air alternative for workers who need mobility.
Our new oil-flooded, diesel portable will be available in sizes from 70-2,000 CFM. It will meet Tier 3 environmental standards and launch throughout Latin America within a few months.
We also plan to have a Tier 4 unit available for North America later this year. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 4 standards are stricter than its Tier 3 regulations, requiring that engines and motors emit 90% less particulate matter, nitrogen oxides and sulfur than Tier 3 machines.
Also available in sizes from 70-2,000 CFM, our new oil-free, diesel portable is perfect for applications in food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and electronics.
Once again, we will make our new oil-free, diesel portable available throughout Latin America within a few months.Â
The entire portable product line includes Kaishan’s world-class parts availability. Which means you won’t have to wait months for replacement parts. Because we manufacture 85% of our parts internally, we have parts available. Often in stock, ready to be shipped out at a moment’s notice.
It’s just another way we help you achieve your uptime goals.
It will be a huge new opportunity for equipment rental companies and their customers—a portable air compressor lineup that will meet a wide range of needs with efficiency and flexibility. Standing up to weather extremes.
